Established in 1897, this “Gem” has held its tradition and although the facility has undergone many changes, its original “Old English” design is ever present.

With long par 4’s, rounded greens and the par 3’s not for the faint hearted, it is a true par 72, 18-hole challenge, but dropping a shot or two here around the threes and fours it can be corrected around the forgiving par 5’s. The greens are small and well protected and with the slightly raised design this is most definitely the courses defence.

A MUST PLAY COURSE FOR ANY GOLF ENTHUSIAST

The course large kikuyu fairways slightly edged with a bunker or two are forgiving and with these fantastically manicured areas, your ball is bound to lie well for your approach. The course is lined by the beautiful Victoria Lake and has some of the most picturesque holes, as you find yourself meandering through the back nine, it’s no wonder it has earned the name “The Gem”.
