Join us at the “Gem” in Germiston
A course that has stood the test of time.
The Club is bordered by the Germiston Victoria Lake on one side. The Lake is man-made, fed by waters from the surrounding old mines, as well as perennial rain. This has spawned a series of duck ponds that dot the golf course, testing a golfer’s prowess in order to avoid them.
A full network of irrigation points makes certain the course can withstand periods of little rain and excess heat and ensures that tees, fairways, and greens are meticulously maintained by the experienced staff and their modern horticultural methods. The tree lined fairways and rough, as well as the subtle bent-grass greens add to the challenges of every round.

A must play course for any golf enthusiast
From its inception, the Club has been the home of many entrepreneurs and champions of local industry and still today includes them, their assistants and subordinates, as well as others from many other walks of life as its members. A stroll through the clubhouse reveals several photographs of presidents past, and honour boards depicting previous champions and those fortunate to have attained a hole-in-one distinction.
The Club boasts an excellent kitchen, which serves a variety of meals from all-day breakfasts to burgers, toasted sandwiches, and midday meals. The huge veranda and umbrella-protected outdoor locale is enjoyed by a steady flow of refreshments in the cool air after a successful round.
There are few other courses like ours and is ideal for any level of golfer. Invariably, the weather will be conducive to a great round, with the occasional late afternoon thunderstorm or a very early winter’s morning frost.
Our membership and green fees are better market-related and a small price to pay for what often becomes a second home as many boast a membership of a few score years!
To join the club is to become a member of a fun-seeking family and shared camaraderie.
